Making Pottery on Koh Kret

On our ThailandQA.com forums and in the Thai Chat Box we often receive questions from people who want to use Bangkok as a base to explore the surrounding area. Every time we have to answer with the same answers, so I thought it was about time I started to construct a list of “Excursions from Bangkok”. These are all trips I have taken over the last year or so and have written about for Thai Travel Blogs.

The following provinces are easy day trips from Bangkok. I haven’t included places such as Pattaya and Kanchanaburi which are best to do as overnight trips. Ayutthaya is a good day trip but I haven’t been back there since I started doing the travel blogs. Also, the floating market at Damnoen Saduak. My home province is Samut Prakan and I have written many blogs which you can do as day trips from Bangkok. I will do a summary later. In the meantime, here is what I have done so far:

Chachoengsao

Nonthaburi

Samut Sakhon

Samut Songkhram

Suphan Buri

Chonburi

I will be writing about more day trips from Bangkok over the coming months.
