Nakhon Nayok Province

Nakhon Nayok is an ancient site of the Dvaravati civilisation dating back about 900 years. The name “Nakhon Nayok” was first found in history as an eastern fort town of Ayutthaya during the reign of King U Thong.

Nakhon Nayok is 106 kms. from Bangkok by Highway No. 305 and 137 kms. by Highway No. 33. It occupies 2,122 square kilometres.

Nakhon Nayok is administratively divided into 4 districts: Muang Nakhon Nayok, Ban Na, Ongkharak, and Pak Phli. The forested areas in the province form parts of the Khao Yai National Park, which is a site for many beautiful waterfalls.
