Wat Paramaiyikawat

This ethnic Mon style temple is located on Ko Kret. It was constructed by the Mon immigrants during the Thonburi period and was later restored in the reign of King Rama V. The temple houses wall paintings, a marble reclining Buddha image crafted in the Mon style and a chapel decorated with delicate stucco work on the doors and windows.

Hi Richard, I’m interested in jinoing the group tour to Ko Kret in August. I’ve just called the Chao Phraya Express and was told that the tour is no longer available, though I read in a column of yours that there’s a special boat on Sunday, departing Sathorn Central Pier for THB300 per pax.

I think they have stopped doing the tours for now. You can catch the regular express boat to Nonthaburi where you will find boat and van options to continue to Koh Kret.
